ok mostly speaking in metaphor.

This is the easiest way to describe the universe. Suppose Hollywood was all of reality. At the edge of Hollywood is a dense fog that is unpassible. Inside Hollywood the scene is still pretty much the same. Actors go to casting calls or get calls from their agents to get parts. But, on top of the highest hill that is unclimbable. At the top is gods huge palace of a house. The only way in normally is helocopter and god owns most of the helocopters. At the house is a huge security system that has most of the valley covered by digital cameras. Someone is watching them all the time, and sometimes when theres enough time, or if some agent is near the crime being committed then the person watching the monitors sends someone out to help. Theres a lot of people in the palace, some just stay in the house, some go down into the valley and come back and some spend most of their time in the valley. The people who are supposed to spend at least some of their time in the palace are actually emotionless androids. They are told something and that's the way it is. Put your grapes in a circle before you eat. God dosen't actually live in the house. God would be very very busy. The security system in place for the androids is good but it's not good enough for god. So he walks the streets, going everywhere you can get to. But because he's god he goes superfast. The flash and superman look like snails next to how fast God moves. God travels so fast he appears as if he's everywhere, and he pretty much is. Sometimes he calls the androids and tells them about problems or sometimes he takes care of it himself. God isn't usually visable because of this so most people decide not to believe in him. Sometimes God slows down asks people why they don't believe in him.

Back at the palace there was one android that God made as close to being like himself as he could. This android can move as quickly as God. He had a special job. His only job was to tempt people to do the wrong things and then turn them over to the cops or the androids or sometimes thrown to a big pit under the city. This android liked to stay in the palace and just watch the cameras. He would watch the screens and sometimes go down and tempt people. He got to hear people say a lot of things like "people want to do bad" "it'd be easier if someone ruled over us" and other such things alot. As an android he processed all these things and came up with a plan he thought would work. Rule over everyone and tell them what to do. He told a lot of people at the palace about this and a fair amount had experienced the same thing and just fell in line. Many more didn't. Did they fight? More then likely. But God eventually stepped in and took the Androids who wanted to just rule and cast them out of his house. Most have no way back in but the special android is able to go back whenever he wants, and still frequently sits in the meetings God sometimes has with the androids.

It should be obvious, but in case it's not i choose androids to represent angels because they both share that pesky no free will idea. I'll be adding and changing this around a bunch til i get the metaphor just right, in additional entries.

And off with the nail

Well, plans got shattered by a misplaced hand by a door and a slammed door. And I heard the nail break. Yep it's gonna fall out. Yes I had been planning to write last night. No I got nothing done. IT only quit hurting a few hours ago.

But, if it was the worst pain I'd ever endure I would gladly stand in line for it.

The 'Wow!' Signal? My 2 cents

NPR.org » Aliens Found In Ohio? The 'Wow!' Signal

The 'Wow!' signal

Basically the above stories talks about the 'Wow!' signal, an unexplained narrow band signal recieved in 1977. The signal was recieved at a fractionally lower and higher frequency then hydrogen's. It's never been heard again.

Well, to begin with the narrow band signal would require a regulated power supply of some type. Regulated power dosen't happen in nature even in deep space, so it's pretty easy to rule out natural phenomena in this case. But what is it? Are aliens sending us messages?

Most likely not. The most likely scenario is the aliens were doing some type of experiment or routine activity. The two signals together though suggest a time length. Perhaps it's a message about an amount of time, presented in two points or two waves or two points within the waves. Perhaps in relation to the hydrogen frequency. Using the time it was sent as a base timeline.

Barring that it would most likely be an experiment one time thing (some alien scientist decided the technician didn't know what he was talking about and aimed the new laser that a way towards us).

I know that's not really why any of you clicked here. You want to hear how aliens are gonna communicate. Well, it really depends on how they think, especially about us and what we're likely to do when we meet. What if some alien somewhere watching our tv right now happens to look like an alien from the Aliens movies, or the Avatar aliens? I doubt either species would be in a big hurry to meet us. Heck they may just think we'd mug them for it all.

More then likely no one knows we're here. But, our recent switch away from analog to digital signals for television is going to alert everyone watching out there that something is going on here.

My projects; 2 novels, a roguelike game, fantasy figures, and cookies

I figured it was about time I took the time to write up what I'm doing, so here it is, my mostly complete list of current projects. And if I plan to tell anyone about it, I'll say it here first.

First and foremost I have decided to complete "Demands of Honor" my loose rough draft of a novel completed in a book in a week contest at some non-remembered members only listserv way back in the day. As the flip project to that I am also completing another of my novels, "Faeries Love" another way back novel that I had pm'd the outline to a friend on a mudd.

As a take a break and do logic I am designing a roguelike game. Something simple for a break from the novel. Right now deciding which format I can compile on my phone. I have Aide with Java (a pain to figure out but maybe soon) c, and/or just maybe an odd language (Pearl? Fortron? Always wanted to write one in Assembly). Only hint on this one, I want to make it have a Bluetooth multiplayer multiple playstyle mode (pvp roguelike LAN parties.). Oh and for android phones.

On the other side for the artsy break project I plan to work on a set or few of paper Mini's. I plan to complete 3 armies and a monster army or two ... eventually. Might make a full tile set or three too. Then use it to also make the optional graphic version of the above roguelike as well as package it up for drivethrufantasy.com

Cookies. What can I say. I like cookies and so does my son, so I'be taken a cake cookie recipie and trying to make it more tollhouse cookie Ish. Why? Something to do.

And look for some article like things on a variety of subjects, including a bunch on aliens in history and history that's obscured.

Have fun
