The 'Wow!' Signal? My 2 cents

The 'Wow!' signal

Basically the above stories talks about the 'Wow!' signal, an unexplained narrow band signal recieved in 1977. The signal was recieved at a fractionally lower and higher frequency then hydrogen's. It's never been heard again.

Well, to begin with the narrow band signal would require a regulated power supply of some type. Regulated power dosen't happen in nature even in deep space, so it's pretty easy to rule out natural phenomena in this case. But what is it? Are aliens sending us messages?

Most likely not. The most likely scenario is the aliens were doing some type of experiment or routine activity. The two signals together though suggest a time length. Perhaps it's a message about an amount of time, presented in two points or two waves or two points within the waves. Perhaps in relation to the hydrogen frequency. Using the time it was sent as a base timeline.

Barring that it would most likely be an experiment one time thing (some alien scientist decided the technician didn't know what he was talking about and aimed the new laser that a way towards us).

I know that's not really why any of you clicked here. You want to hear how aliens are gonna communicate. Well, it really depends on how they think, especially about us and what we're likely to do when we meet. What if some alien somewhere watching our tv right now happens to look like an alien from the Aliens movies, or the Avatar aliens? I doubt either species would be in a big hurry to meet us. Heck they may just think we'd mug them for it all.

More then likely no one knows we're here. But, our recent switch away from analog to digital signals for television is going to alert everyone watching out there that something is going on here.
